On this episode, I chat with this beautiful soul, Nicole Faith. I saw her videos on TikTok and instantly wanted to know her story. We discuss:
The state of mental health today
Being open to sharing the highs or lows on social media
Sharing your pain opens up this universe to see other’s pain, but it’s still easy to feel imposter syndrome
Nicole shares her story of life growing up due to her parent’s financial struggles, the effects it had on her, her relationship with her dad, and feeling alone and disconnected
Sometimes the saddest people, to the outside world look the happiest and are always joking She opens up about being taken advantage of at such a young age
Events in her life that brought her to a point of wanting to commit suicide
Why it’s important to journal your pain
“The darkness is where you heal”
Her goodbye video, crying/praying for help and almost ending her life as well as her mentality
Somethings to learn:
Having depression and anxiety doesn’t make you’re weak
It’s so easy to get comfortable in our suffering but we need to sometimes do the hard thing even when we don’t feel like it
The importance of our relationships and having a support system
Speak up when you need to and remember to listen when someone chooses to speak to you
